Dr. Lunique Estimé, the president of Estimé Enterprises recently returned from a trip to Haiti where he attended a conference entitled "Building a New Haiti: Business, Commerce, and Investment."

The event was intended to provide a unique opportunity for companies to take part in an historic international endeavor: building of an economically sustainable Haiti.

During his trip, Dr. Estime had the opportunity to meet with many government officials from Haiti, the United States Agency for International Development, the U. S. Overseas Private Investment Corporation, and other businessmen and financers regarding the rebuilding strategy and efforts in Haiti. Additionally, Dr. Estimé attended an address by Rene Preval, President of the Republic of Haiti and a talk by U. S. Ambassador to Haiti, Kenneth H. Merten

Estimé's objective of establishing a production facility in Haiti is consistent with its goal of promoting projects that contribute to local sustainable economic development. The production facility will provide employment for Haitians making the housing materials, construction of the houses, and providing all of the other finishings and furnishings that turn structures into homes.
